Evil Dead Rise has been one of the most anticipated scary movies of 2023, and it carries the massive burden of following in the footsteps of the 1981 cult classic and the 2013 remake. While Evil Dead Rise does not break the mold like the original, it is a crowd-pleasing horror film that isn’t afraid to lean into the gore associated with the Evil Dead name.
