Something Undone
A thrilling tale of psychological fear and suspense that employs the world of sound to tell the story of Canadian couple Jo and Farid, who delve into the gruesome 1980s slaughter of a family of five for the latest series of their true crime podcast. Farid travels to the destitute town of Briddus, Newfoundland to put the pieces of the mystery together through witness interviews and covert investigation – meanwhile, Jo, who is a foley artist, isolates in her recently deceased mother’s country home to ready it for sale while creating chilling sounds to accompany Farid’s words.
Jo struggles to stay removed from her schizophrenic mother’s suicide, but after picking up distrubing sounds inside the house, she goes down a twisted path towards a dark family secret that ruthlessly haunts her – meanwhile, Farid comes up against the crooked cops and hardened townspeople of Briddus.
The murders and their rumoured ties to Satanism irreparably damaged the town’s tourism 30 years ago, leaving them desperate to keep the past buried – as he gets closer to discovering what really happened that fateful summer, Farid finds himself and Jo in serious danger.
Putting Jo first, Farid makes the choice to give up and let down the surviving Chaffey kin – months later, Jo and Farid escape to a remote island intent on mending their strained relationship but struggle to let go of their respective ghosts.
While Jo befriends an enigmatic neighbour who guides her further from Farid and deeper into the mystery of her mother’s legacy, Farid seeks out a local pastor and reveals that – despite the risk – he’s never given up on delivering justice to the Chaffeys.

Barry Humphries: The Last Laugh
Following the passing of Barry Humphries in April, this brand-new documentary aims to offer an intimate, personal and honest look back at the life and work of one of the funniest and most iconic performers of our times.
The film will relive classic moments from signature characters Dame Edna Everage and Sir Les Patterson and uncover gems from the many interviews Barry gave as himself that were often illuminating and equally hilarious.
Adored by millions – but perhaps known by few – Barry constantly shifted the lines between where the characters ended and his own personality began, making it a challenge for interviewers to get under the skin of the man himself.
This documentary sets out to shed light on the real person behind his famous personas, searching for the roots of his characters in his suburban Australian upbringing, exploring how his absurdist artistic student years helped develop his outrageous outfits and stage shows, and understanding how his relationship with his mother drove his hunger for adulation and, ultimately, validation.
The film aims to offer an insight into Barry’s complexities which saw him encounter challenges in his personal life and public controversies throughout his career, during which his immense talent and quick wits propelled him to enormous success in the UK, his homeland, Australia and in the US.
This heartfelt documentary will give viewers an opportunity both to remember and discover more about a towering figure in entertainment whose unique performances spread laughter over multiple continents throughout many decades.

The Real Nolly
As a companion to Nolly – the three-part drama about the star – this documentary gains exclusive access to personal papers and never-before-seen pictures as it explores the life of Noele Gordon.
Noele Gordon – Nolly to her friends – was a legend in her own lifetime. She was one of the most famous people in Britain as Midlands motel owner Meg Richardson in the long-running soap opera Crossroads – with ratings peaking at 18 million viewers, however, she was unceremoniously fired.
Before Crossroads, Noele was a star on the stage in the 1940s – she was also the first woman ever to be broadcast in colour in an experiment by TV pioneer John Logie Baird. She was asked to go to New York for a year, where she studied TV production and made hours of notes on US TV – she was also a continuity announcer and acted in radio shows too. Noele came back to the UK to help set up Associated Television as a TV executive and established daytime TV – she was a pioneer in the world of TV which was run by men.
The Real Nolly is a love letter to a true star who is still much missed by friends and fans alike and also still hugely admired – Helena Bonham Carter, who stars as Nolly in the drama, narrates the documentary.
Nolly
Academy Award-nominated and BAFTA-winning actor Helena Bonham Carter (The Crown, Enola Holmes 1 and 2, The King’s Speech, Harry Potter, Burton and Taylor) stars as Noele – or Nolly to her friends – Gordon, a legend in her own lifetime.
As flame-haired widow Meg Richardson in the long-running soap opera Crossroads, Nolly was one of the most famous people in Britain – however, in 1981, at the height of the show’s success and the peak of Nolly’s fame, she was axed without ceremony, without warning and with no explanation.
With the boss’s words ‘all good things must come to an end’ ringing in her ears, Noele Gordon found herself thrown out of the show that was her life for over 18 years…
Vera: The Rising Tide
The critically-acclaimed detective series returns with a thrilling feature-length episode drawing inspiration from Ann Cleeves’ 11th best-selling novel.
This latest episode thrusts DCI Vera Stanhope into the chilling depths of a treacherous investigation where she must untangle a web of deceit before yet another tragedy unfolds.
It may be the run-up to Christmas, but this doesn’t mean that DCI Vera Stanhope (Brenda Blethyn) can slow down and enjoy a bit of Secret Santa and some mince pies – far from it, in fact, as the apparent suicide of Rick Kelasall sees Vera’s boss insist that she personally take a look into the case as it’s a high-profile death on Holy Island and that’s her home stomping ground.
Vera soon works out that there is more to Rick’s death than initially suspected and that he was murdere – Rick had been attending a reunion with old friends, a ritual they have all stayed true to for over 40 years. Had one of those at the reunion been holding a grudge for all these years and finally snapped, is his death related to the scandal that has knocked his career sideways, could the motivation be greed, is someone out for revenge, or is it something much more obscure, how far will the killer or killers go to
cover their tracks, could Vera and her team also be in danger, and will they all see Christmas?
Mr Bates vs. The Post Office
A new four-part series written by acclaimed screenwriter Gwyneth Hughes tells the story of one of the greatest miscarriages of justice in British legal history.
Hundreds of innocent subpostmasters and postmistresses were wrongly accused of theft, fraud and false accounting due to a defective IT system – many of the wronged workers were prosecuted, some of whom were imprisoned for crimes they never committed, and their lives were irreparably ruined by the scandal.
Toby Jones will play Alan Bates while Monica Dolan, Julie Hesmondhalgh, Alex Jennings, Ian Hart, Lia Williams, Will Mellor, Clare Calbraith, Shaun Dooley, Amit Shah, Lesley Nicol, Adam James and Katherine Kelly also join the cast.
Between 2000 and 2013, the Post Office held thousands of its own subpostmasters and postmistresses liable for financial discrepancies thrown up by Horizon, its hugely expensive but unreliable computerised accounting system – despite warnings that the system was flawed, the Post Office relentlessly pursued the subpostmasters and postmistresses, telling many of them that they were the only ones having problems with Horizon.
Of those affected by the faulty IT system, 736 were prosecuted and hundreds more lost livelihoods, homes and life savings because they paid back money that the Post Office claimed was missing. Several went to prison – some while pregnant or with young children – many were shunned by their communities, and some have since died before they could find any justice.
The drama will tell how, in 2009, a group of subpostmasters from across the UK decided that enough was enough and formed the Justice For Subpostmasters Alliance.
