ITV’s Head of Drama, Polly Hill, has greenlit the second season of the highly praised thriller, Malpractice. The debut season, produced by the esteemed company World Productions under ITV Studios, took the top spot as ITV1’s most-watched new drama of 2023, drawing in a whopping 6.7 million viewers for its premiere within 28 days.
The upcoming five-part installment, spearheaded by Simon Heath (World Productions’ CEO known for hits like Line of Duty and Vigil) and former NHS doctor turned producer, Grace Ofori-Attah, promises to continue the riveting storytelling that captivated audiences in the initial series.
Returning to ITV1 and ITVX, where it gained acclaim for its intricate storyline and gripping pace, Malpractice’s second season will follow Dr. Norma Callahan (played by Helen Behan) and Dr. George Adjei (portrayed by Jordan Kouamé) as they tackle another medical mystery, once again keeping viewers on the edge of their seats.
